Hypebeast Magazine Issue 22
Hypebeast Magazine Issue 22: The Singularity Issue has a cast who are undeniably unique in their respective industries – looking beyond the work which makes them stand out and into the journeys which made them that way, Hypebeast spent half their time searching for one-of a kind work and individuals – and other half admittedly not really knowing what we’re looking for. Luckily, good things can still come from the most clueless moments. The issue is full of weird and wonderful kinds of individualities, forged in pursuit of the unknown and the uncomfortable.
Hiroshi Fujiwara speaks to Hypebeast about the influences of his youth, without which the current culture of highend and streetwear collabs, such has his latest project with Moncler – along with humble establishments like yours truly – would not be what it is today. Hypebeast have Blondey McCoy, who takes them into his grandparents’ home and talks about the growing pains of an old soul. This year’s LVMH Prize winner Masayuki Ino of doublet tells Hypebeast about his intergenerational influences and the importance of being everywhere and nowhere for his label.
